What is UGC CARE Approval & Why It Matters

The University Grants Commission (UGC) of India operates a quality assurance framework called CARE — Consortium for Academic and Research Ethics. The UGC CARE list identifies credible, peer-reviewed journals that are accepted for academic promotion, PhD pre-requisite publications, and university research credit. Journal of Modern and Versatile Research Approach (JMVRA) is recognized as a UGC CARE Approved Journal Publication, making publications in this journal valid for all official academic purposes in India and internationally.

In October 2025, the UGC issued a landmark public notice updating the framework. The new UGC guidelines now recognize Transparent Peer-Reviewed (Refereed) Journals as valid for all academic submissions — faculty promotions, PhD requirements, and API score calculations. JMVRA is fully compliant with the updated guidelines and holds a certified Transparent Peer Review Certificate issued through Scholar9.com.

Old UGC CARE Recognition JMVRA was listed in UGC CARE Group — publications are recognized and valid for API score computation, faculty promotions, and institutional requirements across Indian universities.
New UGC Notification (October 2025) Under the updated UGC notice, Transparent Peer-Reviewed journals are now fully accepted. JMVRA holds a certified Transparent Peer Review status valid under the new norms.
PhD & Research Scholar Validity Publications in JMVRA are widely accepted by Indian and international universities for PhD pre-requisite paper requirements, thesis submissions, and postdoctoral work.
Scopus Standard Quality Control The editorial and peer review process follows Scopus journal indexing standard norms — ensuring international credibility, double-blind review, and rigorous quality evaluation.
