What JMVRA asks of every reviewer
Confidentiality
A manuscript under review is unpublished work: it is not shared, discussed or pasted into any public AI tool.
Conflicts of interest
Decline a paper if you know the authors, compete with the work or have a financial interest in it.
Constructive reports
Criticise the work, not the author, with specific comments the author can act on.
Timeliness
Respond to invitations promptly and meet the deadline in the invitation so authors are not kept waiting.
