JMVRA — Journal Publication Where You Live
Published since June 2023, JMVRA (ISSN 2984-8911) is a monthly, open access, peer-reviewed journal that welcomes research papers from every Indian state, union territory and city. Because submission, review, payment and publication are all handled online, an author at a district college goes through the same process, schedule and charge as one at a metropolitan university. Choosing a journal for its fit with your subject matters more than the size of your city.
Here you will find JMVRA’s directory of location guides for India. Every guide for a state, union territory or city outlines the local research landscape — the subjects and institutions that define it — and explains how authors in that place can publish with JMVRA. Pick your location below, or begin with the India publication guide.

Guide to Publishing a Research Paper
1. Make sure the journal suits your subject
As a multidisciplinary journal, JMVRA covers every subject, including science, engineering, management, commerce, humanities, social sciences, law, education, health and more. Should your topic be absent from the research areas page, write to the editor prior to submitting. Unsure which journal fits your paper? Use the Journal Finder. Matching your title and abstract to a journal's stated scope saves you time.
2. Get the manuscript ready
Begin with the layout provided under Download Forms & Formats, and comply with the publication guidelines by arranging the title, abstract, keywords, introduction, method, results, discussion, conclusion and references in a single consistent style. Reading the draft aloud once often exposes awkward sentences and inconsistent formatting.
3. Run a similarity check ahead of submission
Before review begins, each manuscript is scanned with Turnitin and/or iThenticate, and any paper showing more than 15% similarity is sent back unreviewed. Paraphrase and cite correctly prior to uploading, which spares you a whole review round.
4. Send the paper in online and follow its progress
Use the online form to submit, and a paper ID will reach you by email. Monitor the status on Track Your Paper; decisions are also delivered by email and WhatsApp.
5. After acceptance
Indian authors pay ₹971 INR with the details that [email protected] sends. The paper then appears in the monthly issue under CC BY 4.0, and a Crossref DOI may be added if requested.

Making the Most of Local Support When Publishing Within India
Researchers in different Indian states and cities often have access to colleagues and institutional help that can improve a submission. These tips show how to use that support wisely.
- Consult your institutional library. Librarians can advise on citation styles, plagiarism checking tools and reputable venues. Visit them before you choose a journal, not after your paper has been rejected.
- Form a small peer reading group. Exchange drafts with nearby scholars in your own field and give each other honest written comments. Local readers can catch unclear arguments before reviewers do.
- Check regional language needs. If your data or sources are in a regional language, translate quotations carefully and name the translator or method so international readers can follow your evidence.
- Attend local workshops on writing. University workshops on methods, statistics and academic writing are usually inexpensive and practical. Bring a real draft so the session solves a real problem.
- Beware of agents offering shortcuts. Be careful with any local middleman who offers a quick route to print in return for money. Submit directly through the journal's own page and keep the receipts yourself.
Use local libraries, colleagues and workshops to strengthen your manuscript, but always submit directly and keep your own records.
