Copyright & Licence Policy
Every paper published in this journal is open access under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence — free for anyone to read, download, copy, distribute and build upon, provided the original work is credited.
Last reviewed September 2026 · Applies to all submissions to JMVRA (ISSN 2984-8911)
JMVRA is a fully open access journal. There is no subscription and no paywall: the published version of every article is free to read and reuse from the moment it appears, and it stays that way permanently. What a reader may do with an article is set by its licence, and what an author promises about the work they submit is set out below.
The Licence
Published papers carry the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). It is the most permissive of the standard Creative Commons licences, and it is the licence named in the footer of every page of this site.
Anyone May
- Read, download and print the article
- Copy and redistribute it in any medium or format
- Adapt, remix, translate and build upon it
- Reuse it for commercial purposes
- Deposit it in a repository, course pack or institutional archive
On One Condition
- The original authors and this journal are credited
- A link to the licence is given
- Any changes made to the original are indicated
- Credit may not imply the authors endorse the reuse
- No additional legal or technical restriction may be imposed on others
How to Credit an Article
Any reproduction, posting, transmission or other reuse of an article, or of material contained in it, requires a citation to the journal and appropriate credit to JMVRA as publisher, in this form:
- Title of article, author(s), journal title and volume/issue, © year the author(s), CC BY 4.0.
- Where the article has a CrossRef DOI, include it — a DOI is what keeps the citation resolvable after any URL changes.
What Authors Warrant
By submitting, the corresponding author confirms on behalf of all authors that:
- The work is original and does not infringe the copyright, proprietary or personal rights of any third party.
- Every author has participated in the work and agrees with its content and conclusions — see the Authorship Policy.
- No part of it, nor any work based on substantially the same data, is under consideration elsewhere — see the Research Misconduct Policy.
- Permission has been obtained for any third-party figure, table, photograph or extended quotation reproduced in the article, and the source is credited.
- The article contains no libellous or unlawful statement, and all legal permissions relating to the research were obtained.
If You Believe Your Rights Have Been Infringed
Claims of copyright infringement are handled as a separate procedure. Write to the Editor at [email protected] with the subject line “Copyright Infringement”, identifying the material and the right you hold. The full procedure, including the response time, is on the Copyright Infringement Claims page.
Reuse by the Authors Themselves
- Self-archiving: because the published article is CC BY 4.0, authors may deposit it in an institutional or subject repository — see the Preprint & Self-Archiving Policy.
- Teaching and theses: authors may reuse their own article in lectures, course material and their own thesis, with the citation above.
- Long-term availability: how the record is preserved is covered by the Archival Policy.

Copyright & Licence Policy in Brief
Every paper published in JMVRA is open access under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). Anyone may read, download, copy, share and build on the work — even commercially — provided they credit the original authors and the article.
On submission, authors confirm that the work is original, that they have the right to publish it, and that any third-party material is used with permission. Authors keep the copyright and may reuse their own article freely.
