In short, your paper passes through screening, a similarity check and double-blind peer review, and status updates reach the corresponding author's email (plus SMS where available). At any moment you can enter your Registration ID and Private Key on the Track Paper page to see the exact current position of your paper. Bookmark the tracking page so you can check without searching for it each time.
Submission Confirmation
Right after you submit, make sure you have kept:
- Your Registration ID
- Your Private Key
- The confirmation email
- The exact manuscript file that you uploaded
Track Your Status
Below is an explanation of the status terms JMVRA's Track Paper page uses at present. The statuses follow in order, so a paper never jumps over a stage.
| Status | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Submitted | The paper is now in the system and waiting for screening. |
| Under Screening | Checks are under way on scope fit, completeness of formatting and similarity/plagiarism. |
| Under Review | The manuscript is being assessed by independent reviewers in a double-blind process. |
| Revision Requested | Before a final decision is made, reviewers want certain changes. |
| Accepted | Review is complete and passed, so you can move on to the steps that follow acceptance. |
| In Production | Final checks and typesetting are in progress before the paper is published. |
| Published | The paper is online in the journal archive and has been given a Paper ID. |
Review Decision
When review ends, one of several outcomes follows:
- Acceptance — next comes documentation and payment after acceptance
- Revision request — answer each reviewer comment one by one, then resubmit following the instructions
- Rejection — the anonymised reasoning of the reviewers behind the decision is sent to you
- Editorial communication — now and then the editorial office may write to you to clear up a point before settling the decision
Do Not Do This
- Avoid submitting the same paper again and again
- Avoid altering the order of authors unless all co-authors and the editorial office have approved in writing
- Avoid sending inconsistent metadata, such as a changed title/abstract, in later emails
- Never leave a revision request unanswered; silence will not turn it into an acceptance
- Avoid mailing a payment receipt that lacks your Registration ID, since the editorial team cannot link an unidentified payment with your paper
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to Do |
|---|---|
| The status has stayed the same for some time | How long review takes depends on the paper and on reviewer availability; if you have waited well beyond the timeframe currently stated, write to [email protected] and quote your Registration ID. Stay polite and brief in the message so it can be handled quickly. |
| A revision request arrived, but its comments are hard to understand | Answer within the same email thread and ask the editorial office to explain the particular point prior to revising. |
| The revision deadline has passed | Write to [email protected] without delay; resubmitting late with no explanation is not advisable. |

The Meaning of Each Stage
| Stage | What is happening | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| Submitted | Your paper and details have arrived, and an ID is given | Keep the ID safe and confirm your email and phone details |
| Screening | Scope, completeness, declarations and similarity (under 15%) are examined | Be patient, and reply quickly to any question from the editorial office |
| Under review | Experts in the subject evaluate the paper through double-blind review | Avoid sending the paper to another journal |
| Decision | The outcome (accept, revise or reject) arrives by email and WhatsApp | Go through the comments with care and prepare your reply |
| Accepted | Last steps, including the publication fee (₹971 INR / $41 USD) | Finish the forms and payment via official channels |
When You Are Asked to Revise
- Go through each comment — and write them out, numbered per reviewer
- Edit the manuscript — and note the place of every change you make
- Prepare a response letter — replying to every point raised
- Send it back as directed — including the paper ID and ahead of any stated deadline

Practical Tips for the Waiting Period After Submission
The weeks after submitting a paper can feel uncertain. Use this time productively and professionally, so that any editorial request finds you ready to respond without delay.
- Archive the submitted version. Save the exact files you uploaded, along with the confirmation message and registration details. If questions arise later, you can show precisely what was sent and when.
- Watch the email you registered. Check your inbox and spam folder regularly, and add the editorial address to your safe senders. Missed messages are among the commonest causes of avoidable delay.
- Resist submitting elsewhere. Sending the same manuscript to another journal while one review is running breaches ordinary publishing ethics. Wait for a decision or formally withdraw through the editorial office first.
- Prepare for revision requests. Reread your paper critically now and note weak points a reviewer might raise. Having data, references and figures at hand makes later revisions quicker and calmer.
- Be polite when you follow up. If a long period passes without news, send one courteous message quoting your registration details. Repeated or demanding emails rarely help and can strain goodwill.
Keep your records ready, stay reachable by email, and wait patiently without submitting the same work elsewhere.
